Job Summary :

You will support and coordinate closely with the Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) business division's legal team based in the Asia-Pacific region. The role involves drafting and negotiation of contracts and other legal documentation used in connection with various financial products transactions undertaken by the division

AWM helps individuals and institutions protect and grow their wealth and offers traditional and alternative investments across all major asset classes. It also provides wealth management solutions and private banking services to high net-worth clients and family offices.

Primary responsibilities include :

- Drafting and negotiating various account opening terms and conditions and engagement letters

- Drafting and negotiating various agreements such as distribution agreements, subscription agreements, investment management agreements, services agreements, trading agreements and confirmations, facility agreements, security agreements, engagement letters with service providers, confidentiality agreements and other relevant legal documentation and subsequent amendments; and

- Liaising and coordinating with the legal, risk & capital divisions of bank and other internal departments such as business, compliance, finance, operations and tax, as necessary.

Job Requirements :

- Law degree (preferably common law) with hand full years of post-qualification experience ( Sr. Analyst 4 -6 yrs, Associates -7 + yrs ) in financial products and/or commercial contracts drafting and negotiation (previous capital markets or general corporate experience gained with a law firm or in-house legal department will be an advantage).

- Excellent legal drafting ability and an eye for detail.

- Ability to read complex legal documents with confidence, ease and understanding.

- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.

- Strong problem-solving and/or analytical skills with a solutions-based approach.

- Proficient in MS Word.
