SBICAP Securities - Sr Manager - AR Operations

About Us - SBI Cards and Payment Services Pvt. Limited (SBICPSL) is a 40:60 Joint Venture between GE Capital Corporation, USA and State Bank of India. SBICPSL is engaged in the Business of issuing credit cards.

Role Summary/Purpose - Lead the team responsible for Revenue & AR Operations. The position will be as Senior Manager - AR Operations.

Essential Responsibilities

Operational Accounting :-

- Lead the team for managing and ensuring the timely and accurate accounting for all Revenue related activities e.g daily settlement accounting for VISA/Master Card, Vision Plus to Oracle Interface, raising invoices through Oracle AR module etc.

- Coordination with IT teams and other functions with respect to Vision plus and related processes

- Constantly looking for improvement opportunities and taking initiatives towards simplifications & automations of processes,

- Constantly working with other functions on the projects/new initiatives/change managements which impacts the financials, testing the impact and ensuring the effective controls are build up during development,

Closing Activities :-

- Managing, reviewing and ensuring timely and accurate financial closing for Revenue & Account Receivables, accruals/provisioning & loss accounting under IGAAP & USGAAP,

- Ensuring timely and accurate reporting and MIS to internal and external stakeholders like RBI, VISA, Master Card, SBI, GE etc.

Reconciliation :-

- Managing & ensuring reconciliation related to AR Operations like B/S Accounts, Income recognition between Oracle GL and Sub-System (Vision Plus),

- Ensuring timely submission of reconciliations with all the backups to support reconciliations,

- Actively collaboration with all the business functions/stakeholders to ensuring Timely closure of all the open reconciliation items,

Audits :-

- Taking care of all the requirements related to Revenue & AR shop from all Auditors (Statutory, Internal, RBI, CAG ),

- Ensuring timely audit closure with NIL audit observations,

Qualifications/Requirements - CA with 6 - 7 years’ experience in Controllership Processes, preferably in Revenue Accounting & Recognition as per USGAAP & IGAAP in ERP/Automated environment, in large company or Multinational Companies

- Experience of managing a team and ability to work effectively with cross functional teams and within prescribed time constraints,

- High process orientation with intense desire to ensure no process lapses/gaps,

- Proactive to avoid any surprises either by eliminating the same in time or reporting/escalating the same to all the concerned stakeholders,

- Experience of Oracle ERP and other integrated Systems/Subsystems,

- Strong analytical skill, Self-starter, keen learner, team worker and collaborative,

- Good at taking new initiatives for simplifications & automation of processes,
