Role Summary/Purpose:
- Assistant Finance Controller will be responsible for the Controllership Operations, AR & Revenue, Fixed Assets Accounting, Closing & Reporting, Audits, Regulatory Compliance etc.
- He will be leading the team of 6 members and closely working with Finance Controller to achieve controllership objectives.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure maintenance of Books as per IGAAP, USGAAP and NBFC Prudential Norms issued by RBI,
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing for IGAAP & USGAAP books
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to RBI, JV parents and management,
- Prepare regular Balance Sheet Analysis & other dashboard and present/circulate the same to management on regular basis.
- Ensure timely and clean audits by Statutory, RBI, Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) and Internal Auditors,
- Closely work with other teams in Controllership (e.g. treasury, eFinance, AP etc.), Tax & other Business functions on Simplification & Automation projects to ensure that the financial implications are being addressed the best possible way,
- Lead the team responsible for Closing & Reporting, AR Operations and FA Accounting. Engage with people – to ensure high retention levels through performance management, learning & development and career paths. Motivate the team to achieve goals within the agreed timelines,
- Take new initiatives for Simplification & Automation of processes and execute new ideas to strengthen Controllership,
- Regular review and update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all the controllership processes,
- Assist Controller and CFOs for the JV on various controllership issues, initiatives and adhoc requirements,
Qualifications/Requirements:
- CA with 9-10 years' experience in Controllership Processes, particularly in Closing & Reporting, AR Operations & Audits in ERP environment, in large company or Multinational Companies.
- Experience of US GAAP, Indian GAAP and Regulatory requirements (NBFC / NHB Norms),
- Experience of managing a team and ability to work effectively with cross functional teams and within prescribed time constraints,
- High process orientation with intense desire to ensure no process lapses/gaps.
- Proactive to avoid any surprises either by eliminating the same in time or reporting/escalating the same to all the concerned stakeholders,
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience of Oracle ERP and other integrated Systems/Subsystems with strong influencing skills and project management skills,
- Self-starter, keen learner, team worker, innovative and problem-solver,
- Experience of working with Regulators/Government Authorities e.g. RBI, NHB, CAG etc.
