PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP is focused on enabling digital transformation across the end-to-end value chain for our customers. Industry Value Engineering (IVE) is dedicated to working with customers to align their digital vision with their business strategy and ultimately supporting the plan to get there.

IVE is a global, 400+-strong Strategic Sales Consulting team, with a mix of people having in-depth industry expertise, solution knowledge, management consulting background and product software understanding with the objective of driving SAP's software business. Collaborating with prospect's senior business executives, VE delivers business cases which link the company's strategic goals, business process challenges, industry trends and best practices with peers / industry leaders to crystallize the SAP value proposition as it relates to digital transformation. The result is an increased win rate in deals, bigger deal sizes and shortened sales cycles.

The Global-Industry Value Engineering (G-IVE) India team, launched in January 2006 and primarily based in Gurgaon, is an extension of the IVE team across the globe. The 12+ member India team consists of talented MBA professionals from premier educational and work backgrounds, having strong business advisory skills and the ability to be the thought engine for SAP sales.

Organizationally, the IVE India Team is within the Content and Thought leadership function of the Chief Transformation Office. The G-IVE team's major focus areas includes business value content, benchmarking programs, and thought leadership aligned with digital business whether it's through re-imagining business models, business processes or how companies work in this new digital age.

The position description is for the G-IVE Senior Solution & Product Marketing Specialist. Additional details are found below:

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

- Master's Degree or MBA Required

- 7-10 years industry and/or management consulting experience, preferably at least 5 years in enterprise software

- Proficiency of at least one industry or solution segment (prefer end to end procurement business process / Business Networks expertise) E.g. through Solution Management, Sales, Presales, Consulting or Business Development roles

- Familiarity with SAP solutions and alignment of business strategy and IT portfolio

- C- Level messaging and influencing experience

- Strong attention to detail; focus on quality

- Understands dynamics, KPIs and value chains within multiple industries

- Understands value proposition of leveraging technology to enable digital business

- Ability to work effectively in virtual teams

- Coaching and change management skills/ leadership experience added advantage

- Strong collaborator across teams with indirect relationships to G-IVE to produce quality deliverables

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

The team member would act as a senior advisor to SAP's solutions portfolio for end to end Procurement process and play a key role in driving the following tasks under the direction of the Chief Transformation Office:

- Drive and manage focused benchmarking and value based programs across processes (such as procurement and business networks) to align with key topics relevant in digital economy

- Build and refine value content, associated with select SAP solutions, and ensure the latest is available within benchmarking to enable customer engagements

- Drive thought leadership based on value content from companies including insights on digital topics, focused lines of business, and industry

- Serve as a primary conduit between Solutions Management, Global and Regional teams and/or field sales organizations to oversee, influence and track the execution of key thought leadership initiatives.

- Contribute value content to SAP white papers and/or enablement assets. Perform strategy / financial / peer / value chain analysis, etc.

- Enable the field organization through webinars, training sessions, and other channels to help in demand generation

- Constantly look at innovation and evolve new ways of showcasing value management concepts to customers, and act as trusted advisor for customer business cases
