Job Description:

The SAP EWM Consultant is responsible for successful delivery of Extended Warehouse Management system (EWM) module deliverables on SAP Distribution engagements, including implementation, upgrade, and/or extension of existing applications. The consultant assists clients in the selection, implementation and support of SAP solutions which naturally include design, configuration, and testing. The consultant will provide functional and business process expertise on a project team which generally consists of consultants, subcontractors, remote global resources, and client employees. The consultant participates in pursuing client sales opportunities and working on bid & proposal efforts. The consultant participates in design activities and gap analysis.

Required

- Bachelor's Degree

- At least 3 years’ experience in SAP EWM configuration

- At least 1 year experience in 1 full project lifecycle implementations / support with the SAP EWM module

- At least 3 years’ experience in 1 full project lifecycle implementation with the SAP WM module

Job Level Specific Duties

- Defines overall application functional / business requirements with end users. Recommends solution modifications, configurations, and processes.

- Implements, designs and / or upgrades applications.

- Creates test plans for projects.

- Analyzes model test discrepancies to find trends and works with programmers to resolve.

- Establishes cost and time estimates for development and implementation of projects.

- Produces business process flow charts.

- Creates communication plans (correspondence, presentations, and other materials) for knowledge transfer to leadership.

- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.

- Acts a team leader for projects with moderate budgets or of a short to intermediate duration.

- Mentors less experienced team members.

Typical Years of Experience

- Typically requires 5-7 years relevant experience.

Minimum Education and Certifications

- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of system development methodology, project management and system architecture. Strong analytical / problem solving skills.

- Ability to identify and evaluate IT and business challenges from a broad perspective.

- Exceptional influencing and communication skills. Exceptional ability to translate between non-technical business users and technical IT resources. Excellent client service attitude and leadership capabilities.

- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to physically perform general office requirements.
