Job description

MANAGER SFDC is responsible for architecting, developing and integrating applications related to customer facing "Monetization Ecosystem" applications including CRM, Billing, CPQ and SaaS/PaaS solutions. This position is a Lead Developer/Technical Architect in Salesforce applications to help design and develop Salesforce as an enterprise platform to support and integrate quote-to-cash cloud-based solutions for clients based in US & Europe.

Role & Responsibilities

This role is responsible for core Salesforce application development using Salesforce tools to map business process, implement system automation and integration. Architecture and development duties require full software development lifecycle from technical design to development, testing and deployment, including multiple concurrent Salesforce projects.

Responsible as the - go-to- point of contact for MANAGER SFDC to lead, mentor and teach developers best practices for customizing Salesforce. This position will be interacting in a consulting capacity with various client technical and management personnel in addition to company technical teams to ensure Salesforce solutions are scalable and will take responsibility for end-to-end solution delivery for their respective tracks.

Essential Job Functions:

- Work with business and functional teams to gather requirements, design quality solutions, and create development specifications. (Agile environment)

- Develop and configure Salesforce.com instances and Force.com applications.

- Provide on-going support of existing SFDC instances containing Sales and integrated applications.

- Clearly communicate project expectations and solutions to team members and business users.

- Contribute to the overall application design and layout.

- Evaluate data entry, import processes and ensure proper data quality standards exist for the CRM applications.

- Work with geographically dispersed teams, functional leads to transform new requirements into design and implementation.

- Responsible for unit testing for new enhancements and/or fixes and system integration.

- Work effectively in a dispersed team environment consisting of project leads, technical leads, developers, contractors, business analysts, support staff and/or system users.

- Follow SDLC process and help realize application performance maturation.

- Capable of recommending alternate choices, trade-offs, and impact analysis.

Travel: This role may require some level of travel to client locations, probably - 15%.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- 10+ years of technical experience with minimum 5+ years- experience as a Salesforce developer (Expert level).

- Past knowledge and experience in CRM and enterprise system implementation.

- Experience with Salesforce - ecosystem- and - downstream- applications in the CPQ and Billing arena such as SteelBrick, Aria, Big Machines, Apttus, and/or Zuora.

- Highly desired is a SFDC architect/developer with Aria, Apttus and SteelBrick background

- Strong practical deployment knowledge of VisualForce, Salesforce configurations, Apex classes, Apex Triggers, Apex Web services, and APIs

- Experience with JavaScript

- Advanced Salesforce user and administrator skills (including using permissions, roles, profile, queues, security setup, views, and page layouts).

- Previous experience opening and managing Salesforce.com bugs (troubleshooting, etc.).

- Knowledge of Agile methodology and sprint based project delivery.

- Demonstrated experience in working with geographically distributed teams, across time zones.

- Effectively balance and prioritize multiple projects concurrently.

- In-depth understanding of SFDC CRM application (Sales and Service Cloud) capabilities and constraints.

- Should have architected and designed 3 - 4 secure, high-performance technical solutions on the Force.com platform

- Architected 2 or more successful custom Salesforce.com solutions spanning multiple platforms, including integration and authentication

- Knowledge of Force.com development best practices

- Excellent understanding of SOSL and SOQL, Salesforce.com's Web Services and APIs, and the SalesForce Security model

- Excellent understanding of relational database concepts and how to best implement database objects in the Salesforce.com platform

- Experience integrating data into SalesForce from multiple data sources using tools including DataLoader

- Experience gathering and presenting information from multiple sources in a single UI

- Experience architecting and building solutions within the SalesForce Portal

- Full understanding of project life cycle and development methodologies.

- Ability to interact with technical and functional staff at all levels.

- Must be creative, innovative and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to abstract detail into larger patterns, familiarity with user-centered analysis and evaluation techniques.

- Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.

Education & Certifications:

- BS/BA Degree preferred or equivalent combination of technical certifications and experience.

- SFDC Advanced Developer Certification is preferred. Additional SFDC certifications are desired.
