The company’s new venture in Agro business has taken off with a substantial investment in infrastructure for the same. It is a long term need of the organization to create forward and backward integration with our expertise in trading in commodity exchanges globally. Our focus is to become one of the market leaders in the global supply chain of agricultural products by connecting producers and users of agricultural commodities through origination, processing, marketing, distribution capabilities and services.
We are currently looking for business development professionals who can define and execute the sales/marketing/branding strategy in terms of products and services to successfully position the business within the industry over the medium term. They will develop the value propositions for targeted customers segments and align and develop the resources to deliver them. This effort will deliver the sustainable revenues targeted for the Business Unit.
Desired Profile & Job Description
Super Specialist in physical trading of agroproducts AND/OR metals-minerals such as spices/grains/pulses/oils/ferroy alloys/non-ferrous metals/etc..
- Those who have excellent knowledge of a particular commodity in terms of sourcing, sales and marketing within India.
- Should have strong buyer and supplier base within India.
- Responsible for generating high trading turnover and capturing price differences across the country with marketing-beating returns on investment.
- Indian Region specific experts desirable.
- Experts who can generate high volumes and find profitable niches where commodity can be physically traded maintaining high margins.
- Strong sales network to tap retail, wholesale and institutional segments.
Identifying and creating strategic partnerships with distributors & customers, creating effective communication channels for ensuring head product sales (volume, prices, and margins) meet or exceed budget objectives.
Target effective sourcing & negotiating contracts, establish sustainable long term supply channels with retail, institutional customers, brokers, agencies etc in domestic markets for agro commodities.
Run strong domestic promotional campaigns (attend trade exhibitions etc.) to build brand awareness and meet sales targets for company’s products.
Demand planning and forecasting customer needs and price advantages to maximize margins and volumes for agro-products. Remain close to customers, consumer/market trends and conduct market research for customer feedback to find value addition possibilities to existing product lines.
Benchmarking all sales against competitors and implementation of best practices throughout the enterprise. Proactively monitor and analyze competitor activities and market dynamics. Where appropriate recommend and adjust short term commercial objectives accordingly.
Create and foster an entrepreneurial spirit within the organization to build an innovative culture towards customer and new business development. Ensure high priority is given to customer focus and the commercial realization of BU projects according to predetermined time lines.
