Who are we looking for: General Manager - Brands  Position Summary: GM - Brand Marketing is responsible of managing multiple brands in our portfolio  Qualification: MBA (Marketing) from Tier I institutes (only 2007 and upward batches will be considered)  Work Experience:   - Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in brand management & consumer marketing in blue chip FMCG market, with full management responsibility for brands (P&L, strategy, communication etc.)  Prior Sales experience is a must  Role Requirement:  - Cross functional experience in Sales/ Trade marketing  - Commercial acumen   - Deep understanding of consumer (passion, psychology, habit etc), shopper & customer trends by channel & region to generate insights  - Knowledge of emergent consumers & marketing trends  - Understanding of business & portfolio strategy  - Knowledge & understanding of how the regional sales teams operate  - Leadership maturity to manage in an environment where there is joint accountability for the brand  - Experience in managing a team  - Strength of personality in order to have the ability to handle conflict & confront appropriately  Job Responsibilities:   Champion & Advocacy of the brand - Manages the expectations of brand within SABMiller India  - Imagineer of the brand  - Develop the 3-year brand plans, with inputs from the Senior Brand Managers  - Lead the creation and execution - fully integrated and aligned brand positioning, big ideas and differentiated brand communications and through-the-line marketing programs  - Determine the levers of marketing mix that that will be used to create, reinforce and trigger the brand's meaning in consumer's mind  - Ensure that the brands are constantly innovating and maintaining their salience, topicalness and relevance through imaginative and strategically focused programming and ideas  - Lead development of supportive creative platforms  - Appoint agencies, manage their contractual agreements and set agency incentive targets  - Ensure full understanding of the competitor brands context is factored into our plans  - Ensure that the annual plans developed by the Senior Brand Managers: Strategy, Planning, and Innovation are in full alignment with the 3 year plans  Brand Communication:  - Ensure brand communications accurately reflect the voice of brand  - Approve critical creative material  Through the line brand execution:   - Ensure regional and state level plans accurately reflect the voice of the brands, and brand plans accurately reflect the voice of the field  - Ensure that the team interfaces productively with Trade Marketing and the Regions in order to ensure effective integration and creation of powerful local plans for the brands  Profitable Brands:  - Understand and manage the levers that impact the commercial outcomes of the individual brand P&L  - Determine and deliver performance targets in the annual and 3 year business plans for the brands  - Monitor performance of the brands and course corrects as appropriate  - Manage brand revenues, renovation and margin management  - Understand and support the Brands pricing strategies and plans  - Identify, unlock and capture the value in segmented profit pools through effective programming and guidance  - Optimize marketing spend effectiveness according to global/ local standards
