Key Requirement for the Position:

Qualifications: Law Graduate

- To be well versed with Law of Contracts, Motor Vehicles Act, Consumer Laws, Employee Compensation Act, Civil & Criminal laws of practice

- Good understanding of various IRDA regulations and rules / guidelines related to Motor, Marine, Non motor, Health and Liability claims

- Proficiency in scrutinizing, inspecting and guiding in all legal matters

- Minimum 4-7 years of relevant work experience with exposure in handling claims litigation in relation to insurance industry

- Working experience on General Industry is a must

- Coordination skills and ability to work in a team environment are essential

- Proven ability to work under a team to yield a result

- Graduate in law

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Hindi & English must

- Proficiency in operating MS Office.

- Candidate should be will to travel across India for Court Hearings

Critical responsibilities:

- Main area of work would involve defending of cases relating to Motor Accident, Consumer, Ombudsman on insurance claims litigation before all judicial and quasi-judicial foras/courts.

- Overseeing the litigation and recovery function to the North zone.

- Complete ownership towards achieving compromise targets to the north zone in line with the business needs and targets

What this job is really like:

- Providing inputs to the business and other functions on the acceptability of the documents or deficiencies/ risks in the documents

- Coordination with client for adducing evidence or appearance before any authority as required in course of business and necessities

Jobholders are typically responsible for:

- Coordinating with various clients in house and external for collection of legal documents from them

- Drafting / Modification of various affidavits, counter and statements towards a claim and defense made in the court in consultation with attorney under instructions of corporate legal team

This Job will be typically be measured with these KPI's:

- Effective Compromise of the case in the North Zone

- Successful Exoneration of Liability in MACT, Consumer & other cases filed against the Company

- Successful decree in favour of company for claim or suits or claim or complaint initiated by company against others
