Risk Associate/Manager - IIT/NIT

Our client is looking to add Risk Associate for its one of the biggest buy side Asset Manager client.

- Candidate will work for Market Risk team in the Enterprise wide risk framework.

- He/She is expected to have worked for 5 + years in Risk Management area at a respected institution.

- We are looking for passionate people to further enhance their career in the field of risk management.
Candidate will have to function like a team lead where he will do regular interaction with the client to understand
business requirements and provide solutions with the help of other team members.

- The candidate is required to play an important role in executing multiple assignments in fast paced environments.

- The ideal candidate should be a self starter and should have an independent thought process and motivation to gain further domain expertise in risk management. She/he will be required to solve problems and execute on projects with adequate direction from Senior Risk Managers. At the same time he would have to provide thought leadership to junior members in the team for day to day deliverables.

Key Skills

1. Strong experience of 5 + years in Market risk/ Credit risk is required focussing on value at Risk, scenario analysis and stress testing and Portfolio PnL attribution.

2. Strong knowledge about valuation and modelling of financial products in Fixed Income and Equity.

3. Can demonstrate a very strong understanding of Portfolio and enterprise risk framework of fixed Income and Equity asset classes.

4. Knowledge of Fixed Income and Equity performance attribution methodology.

5. Experienced to work with risk systems, databases and reporting tool and basic programming know how.

6. Excellent communication skills to discuss results of risk analysis.

Requirements

1. 5+ years of experience in market risk management.

2. Experience with a risk system (Risk Metrics, BarraOne) and attribution system (Barclays POINT, BI-SAM
etc) will be preferred.

3. Basic Database knowledge and know how is required.

4. Graduation from a top tier technology (IITs, NITs) or management institutes in India

5. Programming skills in Excel/VBA or C++ is a plus.

6. Having USA business visa will be an add-on since the job may require travel to US sometimes.
