The Optimization Head is expected to support the three key domains namely Radio, Transmission and Core (including PaCo).

- He has to manage the Network Performance and Quality of these circles and ensure continuous improvement in NQI value for these circles.

- The candidate should be a technocrat with strong technical as well as commercial capabilities.

- He should be able to lead large Teams and also influence key stakeholders who do not report to him.

- Apart from managing the role of Optimization Head, he should be able to play the role of Solutions Consultant from time to time.

- It is pertinent to mention that the candidate should have sound presentation, articulation and communication skills. Sound customer handling skills is a must and should be able to educate and guide the customer team on the existing and emerging technologies in telecom domain.

- He should also be able to support the customer team for devising strategies related to telecom policy changes and market developments impacting telcos, from time to time.

- Should be able to develop, manage and motivate the team of professionals supporting Network Planning and Optimization (NPO) operations across all MS circles.

- Should be capable of developing and managing the required competence skills of all Optimization resources across circles.

- Knowledge on developments in Telecom within and outside India, market intelligence, network benchmarking skills backed by strong analytical & logical reasoning skills will be an added advantage.

- The Optimization Head is also required to support the pre-sales activities, in supporting RFP compliance and negotiations with CT (Customer Team).

- In the Presales Phase, the Optimization Head is responsible for Identification of scope and deliverables. In the Delivery Phase: Agreement of MS scope, objectives and deliverables.

- Budgeting and Dimensioning

- Quality Management

- Resource Management & Competence development

- Partner Management

- Optimization Operations & Cost Management

- Procurement & Risk Management

- Scope, KPIs & SLA Management along with Exclusion Management.
