Retail Merchandiser (2-7 yrs)
Job Title - Retail Merchandiser
JOB RESPONSIBILITES :
- Agreeing vendor terms – margin, payment terms and marketing incomes
- Negotiating with suppliers for the best promotions and funding
- Ensuring key accounts are always open for trading and optimum range is available in each store by store grade.
- Conducting reviews every 3 months to keep range size within defined limits
- Ensuring that every title delivers a stock turn of at least 2 per store per year.
- New product/title selection on time to ensure stock is available in store on Day One
- Monitor sell through & forecast 6 weeks sales and ensure the Merchandiser places the initial order.
- Identifying Merchandise to be returned to vendors, obtaining authorization and securing timely return.
- Identifying Merchandise to be returned to the DCs for redistribution to other stores
- Developing and communicating clear VM guidelines for in-store execution of how categories and promotions
should be presented in store. This will be via The Buzz and other store communications.
- Prioritizing purchases to work within Open to Buy to maximize sales and profit.
