Research Associate/Data Scientist (1-4 yrs)
Position Summary :
This profile requires Research & Technology background. In addition exp in Data analysis/analytics/stats would help. Btech/MS/MBA IT profiles would suit. Kapow background preferred.
Typical Responsibilities:
Understand research environment. Work experience in business analytics/intelligence/report generation. Research into web landscape and create well designed commands/steps to scrape online data
Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
Essentials:
BS/MS/MBA IT degree or a related subject
2+ years of hands-of Research/data reporting/SDLC experience.
Also good Knowledge of HTML tags and 1+ year of experience in Java development
Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL
Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC)
Experience with test-driven development
Prefer:
Experience in Python and geo spatial tools such as ESRI and other Research/statistical tools
