We are seeking an entrepreneurial VP Engineering who has a passion for building elite - teams, ideas, architectures and platforms. You will be working with a team who is fast moving, fun and creative but more importantly extremely dedicated, focused and ambitious!- This role is for someone keen on getting in on the ground floor of a startup, with the opportunity to build out and shape the tech function, and work directly with the founder in scaling the business.  Responsibilities   - This role is part of leadership team, it's important for the role to understand the business opportunities, where Product could help bridge the gap between - Customer Needs- and how product can solve.   - Leading full-stack team of developers (Across Android, iOS, Front-end and Back-end), who are passionate about disrupting the industry.   - Help answer fundamentals of technology blocks to be used, choice of certain platform/tech over other, helping team visualize product with the available resources and assets.   - Be responsible to build, manage, and create Tech Roadmap. Works closely with Product, Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements.   - This role requires the person to get his hands dirty, reviews the quality of the codes and if needed corrects.   - With time, help build progressive learning culture and establish predictable model of envisioning, designing and developing products.   - Ensure software engineering lifecycle best practices are followed.   - Closely monitor and guide product releases and updates.   - Mentoring team members, and ensuring that they are learning and growing with the company.   - Fostering a culture of innovation.   - Attract and retain top engineering talent.   - Help set the strategic agenda for the technology team.   - Translating this agenda into an actionable product/tech roadmap.   - Own end-to- end availability and performance of Rentomojo's services.   - And most importantly, Think customer first!!   Requirements   - 8+ years of experience at cutting edge organizations or start-ups.   - Experience in managing large team of software engineers and QA engineers   - Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.   - Experience in ensuring engineering best practices (code reviews, testing, service-oriented architecture etc.).   - Technical expertise in web systems architecture, design and development   - Start-up DNA   About Us:   RentoMojo is an online rental subscription company started in 2014 with a vision to revolutionize the way people meet their lifestyle needs.
