Company: RENEW is helping an Ethiopia-based company in plastic manufacturing in hiring for the General Manager position. The company has two plastic manufacturing factories in Ethiopia and intends to explore opportunities in the upstream/downstream chain. The company is engaged in manufacturing of plastic bags and nets for the agriculture sector and is planning to expand in packaging solutions for the food industry.  We are looking for a person, with demonstrated leadership skills in an industrial setting with a strong understanding of operations, human resources management, and strategy. The General Manager will lead the company and will be responsible for the strategy, people, and the financial outcomes.  Responsibilities:  Oversee the daily operations of the company  Build and manage an effective team for operations and monitor the key performance goals of the team  Oversee the hiring process based on present and future business needs and lead talent development at the company  Ensure optimal operations of both the factories  Develop and manage strong relationships with suppliers for timely availability of raw material  Develop and control budget for the company's various departments  Lead strategy development for the company for new product development and market launches  Maintain relationships with customers to identify new product opportunities and maintain market share  Oversee financial management and report to stakeholders  Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent.  Qualifications:  Based on our experience, we believe candidates with the following qualifications are likely to be most successful:  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.  Masters Degree in General Management or in Engineering  5+ years of working experience, preferably in plastics industry  Good technical skills and preferably prior experience of running a plastics plant  Compensation: Competitive salary
