Preferred background:  - Sales and Business Development for B2B enterprise software product and platforms.  Deal-making skills required:  - Strong strategic planning, target segment identification, lead generation, and deal making/closing skills are required.  - Must be able to understand the product's underlying technology and the target customer requirements, connect the two, and sell appropriate solutions.  - Solutions will required a combination of web and API, for different target customer segments and requirements.  - Deals range from individual licenses, bundled multiple licenses and accounts, to larger, more complex, enterprise deals.  - Ability to build relationships with customers and upsell during annual renewals.  Management skills required:  - Manage multiple sales and business development pipelines in parallel.  - Manage an inside sales team.  - Manage major client accounts that are globally distributed.  Education:  - A science and technology background is preferred though not essential if the individual has a proven track record in software product sales.  - An MBA or PG in a related field would be a plus.  Other attributes:  - Should have excellent presentation and communication skills (written and spoken).  - Able to work with no/low supervision.  - Should be comfortable with calling and working with European and US customers.  - Startup DNA - either by inclination or experience - would be extremely welcome.
