- b- Location: Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Gurgaon- /b-   Position : Tax Manager - Regional  Reporting To : Regional Finance Head and National Indirect Tax Lead  No. of Reportees : None  Purpose of the Position :  - Provide support to Regional Finance Heads and Head of Indirect Taxes on indirect and direct taxes and compliance services. Advice on financial issues related to indirect taxations, optimize tax planning leading to better returns on investments.  Context/ Scope of the position on various dimensions :  Financial / Market Complexity / Leadership Responsibilities / Immediate Focus Areas :  - Coordinate with manufacturing units and Regional HO to ensure compliance with state excise, service tax and other applicable indirect taxes   - Deal with tax advisors HO tax to support any tax litigation and minimize tax incidence  - Proactively engaging with regional business teams to educate on upcoming tax laws and any implications of business  - Create tax data warehouse, MIS and dashboard to provide visibility to management  - Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end tax reports  - Establish the implementation and maintenance ofindirect tax control procedures  - Maintain and prepare relevant indirect tax provisions and initiate investigation into areas of opportunity  - Ensure absolute adherence to the tax planning entities by interpreting indirect tax regulations, completing tax returns and ensuring compliance   - Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting and collection procedures, and investment activities, and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets, and other financial control functions  - Financial audit preparation and execute the audit process in terms of the indirect tax measures and expenses incurred  Experience Required :  - 5-7 Years of experience in Big 4 tax advisory, FMCG or Spirits industry  - At least 4-5 years of experience in taxation   Qualifications Required : Chartered Accountant - CA  Critical Competencies Required :  - Strong domain knowledge specifically on matters pertaining to indirect taxation especially central/state excise and service tax.  - Working knowledge of customs/TP and withholding taxes   - Ability to communicate and translate tax knowledge to business situations  - Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self-driven with the capacity to work in a dynamic work environment  - Ability to be a team player, troubleshooter and a business partner
