About our Client - Our client is an international premium player in the Food industry. Well established in the western hemisphere, they are now turning their attention to India with the intention of growing their footprint. They offer a diverse range of Foods. They are poised to grow rapidly and need a strong Regional Sales manager to support the growth for India
Job Description - Reporting to the National Sales Head, the incumbent will be responsible for:
STRATEGIC:
- Provide strategic direction in his / her Region.
- Deliver volume and P&L targets.
- Understand Regional market dynamics, communicate and ensure that strategic roadmap for the region is in line with the dynamics
PEOPLE:
- Responsible for timely recruitment, induction, training and deployment to ensure complete manning.
- Responsible for development of all employees for optimal performance.
- Maintain open communication with staff, business associates and build & maintain enthusiasm and positive attitude.
DISTRIBUTION:
- Ensure that an effective distribution set up is in place to tap all the markets in the Region assigned.
- Deliver on the distribution expansion plan in line with company objective and as required by the company.
- Define & communicate coverage norms & ensure implementation.
INFRASTRUCTURE :
- Study, approve and ensure implementation of systematic and cost effective coverage of outlets as per targets.
- Ensure distribution infrastructure, to achieve the distribution objectives
- Recruit and select (and set up appropriate systems for the same) distributors in the region as per the desired profile to ensure proper service to the market and their contribution to our business as per norms
The Successful Candidate:
- MBA with specialization in Sales and Marketing and around 9-11 years of experience in FMCG companies
- Experience of handling large projects which require significant change management effort is a positive
- Past experience in region
- Team working spirit and excellent communication skills
- Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivating
- Leadership and interpersonal skills capable of building strong working relationships and influencing and customers and internal teams
- Sound commercial understanding of business issues and opportunities
- Clear understanding of sales and marketing strategy and planning issues
- Strong analytical skills with ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable implementation
- Tenacious and resilient, driven to achieve even when faced with obstacles
