Regional Sales Manager - Consumer Product/FMCG - West (10-18 yrs)
Job Description:
- Develop and ensure implementation of Sales strategies to deliver annual volume objectives of the region within budgeted costs
- Achieve primary and secondary sales ensuring effective distribution of Company’s products
- Propose sales promotion plan/schemes to the Sales Head
- Manage the distribution network and C&F agents with periodic monitoring of sales and collections
- Work closely with dealers and distributors and assist them to promote the Company’s products
- Plan and monitor new product launches in co-ordination with the Marketing Team
- Analyze market response/requirements and collaborate with Marketing team on required solutions.
- Accountable for demand generation initiatives in the Zone
- Leads the Sales force automation agenda for the Zone.
- Continuously monitor competitor activities, conduct competitor analysis, keep abreast of market trends
- Manage and drive Sales development initiatives and focus on lead indicators in the Zone.
- Drive Distribution and Channel Development initiatives in the Zone. Co-develops the Go to market strategy with HO.
- Set up and monitor sales processes and sales system efficiencies in the Zone.
- Owner of all people processes in the Zone. Responsible for coaching the team, people development and building a talent pipeline.
- Hire, train and appraise sales staff in line with company policy
Person Specifications:
Qualification: Should be a Graduate with an MBA/PG Diploma in Sales & Marketing/Business Management
Preferred Age: 30 to 38 years
Experience:
- 6-9 years prior experience in a reputed FMCG company, preferably in the Home and Personal Care segment
- Preferably should have handled multi-state/regional level responsibility in previous assignments
- Should have handled both retail and wholesale in the previous assignment
- Should have handled new Brand Launches and its subsequent stages
Required Skills:
- Sales Management, Planning and Operational Skills
- In store execution
- Excellent Communication Skills. Fluency in the local language would be preferred. Ability to communicate fluently in English is essential.
- Good Computer knowledge. Knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Email writing.
- Qualitative and Quantitative Problem Solving Skills
- Presentation Skills
