Regional Operations Manager - Retail (8-12 yrs)

Position: Regional Operations Manager

Location: Bangalore

The Regional Ops Head is a key member of the leadership team and will report directly to the CEO/ MD.

- Number of Stores to be led and managed - 10 (approx)

- Number of Direct reports - 15 (Store Managers, cluster manager/s and Regional office Staff)

- Number of indirect reports- 80-85 on rolls and 160-180 3rd Party Contract Staff

Critical attributes: Having led multiple stores (QSR, Food and Grocery chains particularly), process-driven, high-integrity, high-discipline, Excellent Communications skills, Analytical skills, an eye-for-detail, an ability to coach and mentor team-members to upgrade their skills and performance, Hard-working, and a role-model for his team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Represent and reinforce the strategy and brand through maintaining the highest standards in visual merchandising and customer service.

- Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of store services through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between functions and HO.

- Make efforts for better ordering, merchandising and suggestive selling of products to improve sales.

- Develop an environment with systems and processes in place which will enable and encourage business opportunities.

- To effectively induct, lead, manage, train and develop the team to agreed procedures and standards.

- Improve in store processes to reduce pilferage, discrepancies and loss of margins.

- Direct the annual budgeting and planning process for the region.

- Ensure statutory compliance with various legislations, conducting risks assessments, monitoring performance and reviewing procedures.

Qualification And Experience:

- Post Graduate in Business Administration/Retail is preferable but not necessary.

- 8-10 years of progressive experience in retail operations and should include minimum 2 years in a multi-store management role. Exceptional candidates may have lower experience.

- Should have prior experience in setting up new stores from Scratch. (Experience in New Store Launches)

- Passion for excellence is absolutely critical.
