About our Client - My client is a US medical diagnostics firm with a global brand & footprint. Their continued & exponential growth is in part due to their increasingly diverse portfolio of products. Already well known for their culture &high ethical values they are looking to augment this within the pan-India & Asia markets. This has led to a requirement for a Regional Director, Asia-Pacific.

Job Description - Reporting to the Global Head of Compliance & CEO (both within the United States) as well as the CEO, Asia Pacific, you will be responsible for supporting the development, evolution, and effective implementation of the firm's compliance in the region. Your purpose is to upskill & embody within the firm the values of commercial & ethical governance. In practice this would be related to anti-bribery, marketing, product promotion, clinical trials, research and development, manufacturing, and dealings with sanctioned countries or entities. However, the ethos of the role is about behavior within the firm and driving the company consciousness towards full compliance - while linking it back to the future commercial success of the business. As such you will have a decision-making part in the strategic and commercial objectives. Creating collaborative relationships with senior management across the Asia-Pacific region, as well as global functions, such as Legal, Finance, Human Resources, Quality and Regulatory and Internal Audit will be a key success factor for the role. Ultimately creating in India and around a function & culture that is the measure of the firm globally.

The Successful Candidate - The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years relevant experience - in sectors such as Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and even the industries' top-tier FMCG firms. You will have had a very strong track record of success in driving Compliances as a concept as opposed to a ""policeman style"" audit. This involves creating ""buy-in"" from very senior non-financial stakeholders as well as creating training for all layers of a business as part of an implementation. Our client is interested in the most academically rigorous and commercially curious minds who can combine the best of technical approaches with a very exacting mindset about doing the best for the firm - through identifying managing different types of risk at all levels. Finally, the successful candidate ought to have the best post-graduate international qualifications (ideally to include a CA).
