Regional Collection Manager - Auto Loans (12-15 yrs)

Job Description -

This position assists the Collection Management to make risk decisions mainly on Retail contract termination, which benefits the sustainable management and development of the retail earning asset:

1. This position ensures that the internal/external mandatory collection processes and relevant procedures are properly conducted in the intensive collection team, so that the potential risks of credit asset can be identified, controlled and limited.

2. This position ensures that the external collection outsourcing service provider is properly supervised according to the outsourcing contract and regulation, and ensures the collection outsourcing process satisfy the internal business requirements.

3. This position ensures that all fresh disbursed cases are called and the response is updated for tracking of payment.

4. This position needs to ensure participation in the hiring and training of the Agency Collector's so that we get good quality collectors who would represent us in the field

Main Tasks (relating products, services )

Internal / External Customers
Bucket wise portfolio Management :

- To meet front end delinquency targets month on month to ensure less flows and better control of the portfolio.

- Mid- range Collection till Bucket 2- To speak to the customer to personally and understand the reason for default and take corrective measures to resolve the case.

- Hard Collection Bucket 3 onwards - Personally visit the customer and offer remedial measure to roll him back or take corrective action to bring him out of delinquency.

Recoveries &Repossessions:

- Recoveries - All cases which have been charged off proper action plan needs to be made with timelines defined on the payments to come into the system.

- Repossession - All the cases identified / recommended for repossession need to be spoken by the Regional Collections Manager and then recommended to the National Collections Manager for approval repossession.

Dispute / Skip / and Legal:

- All dispute cases be it sales, operation or collection related need to be dealt with caution Regional Collections Manager to meet customer and personally and put forward the best possible solution to resolve the case and simultaneously inform the National Collections Manager.

- Regional Collections Manager to ensure all Skip cases identified have been personally visited by the Area Collections Manager before reporting as Skip, Regional Collections Manager to do an in-depth review of the cases after going through all the documentation which had been taken at the time of sourcing the case and after which revert with his analysis to the National Collections Manager.

- Any customer refusing to pay and breaking his promises to pay more than 2 times without a valid reason Regional Collections Manager to ensure that the Area Collections Manager need to speak and understand the intention of the customer and recommend for legal initiation.

Controls:

Receipt Book - Each time a Regional Collections Manager visits a location/ agency he need to carry out a surprise receipt book audit to ensure that all the receipt have been handed over to the company within the timeline and there has been no difference in the amount reflecting on the receipt and the one handed over to the company, also he need to ensure that all the receipts are deposited in the correct serial order.

Yard - Each time a Regional Collections Manager need to visits the location he need to carry out a surprise Yard audit to check if all our vehicles are kept in good condition properly tagged and all the relevant documents in place, Regional Collections Manager to check the Yard visit register and Authorisation letter file to ensure that there has been no visitor without an authority letter from the companies side.

Agency / Collector Hiring and training - Whenever the Agency hires new collectors the Regional Collections Manager need to be updated and he need to ensure that Area Collections Manager has been a part of the hiring process to ensure to get the best talent in the industry, post which a proper training need to be conducted by the Area Collections Manager and code of conduct signed off by the collector.

Analysis :

- Depending on the cases each Regional Collections Manager need to do a detailed analysis on a minimum of 10 cases per month across Skip, Dispute, Legal, Repossession and Fraud cases covering the profile, age, demographic, income, stability - residential / office etc. to give a feedback to Business and credit for improving on the quality of business and also highlight the negative areas / profiles as and when required.
