Position title : RSM Office supplies and stationary business - channel sales
Location : Chennai. Outstation candidates in Hyderabad or Bangalore etc can also be considered if they are willing to relocate to Chennai for this opportunity.
Qualifications required : graduate and MBA full time only from tier I and Tier II institutes
Work experience : 8 years experience in fmcg/consumer durable sales managing atleast a region. Total between 9-12 yrs experience
Job brief : Deliver & Grow on Sales Volume & Value Targets for South Zone. The candidate needs to be able to manage a large team well in order to drive distribution expansion & collections in order to achieve the basic job purpose; should be able to lead by example
Job responsibilities :
Sales Volume, Value & Collection Targets :
- Meeting Monthly Volume Targets category wise
- Achieving Monthly Value Targets through focus on high value categories
- Meeting Monthly Collection Targets & ensuring no bad debt in the territory
Profitability Targets :
- Responsible for the profitability target of the entire zone
- High Focus on portfolio management to achieve higher profitability
Distribution Expansion :
- Ensuring planned & aggressive expansion of the network through sustained focus
- Develop with support of the team key distributors in each zone who turn out to be critical for the business in the long run
- Focus on category management through different sets of distributors for different products
Inventory Management at Zones :
- Focus on keeping inventory at zones at a 30 days level
- Devise strategies to liquidate slow moving skus in zones
- Effective forecasting every month beginning to be able to plan category wise sales
Category Focus & Business Development Initiatives :
- Focus on Cross Selling & Up-Selling
- Modern Trade Focus to push sales of new categories
- Focus required on new categories getting introduced in the business month on month
- Business Development Initiatives necessary at zonal level to promote brands/ important categories to the consumers
- Statewise Product Wise Focus critical
Leadership & Subordinate Development :
- Should be able to set examples to steer the team to achieve set objectives
- Should be a hard task master but simultaneously need to be getting well with the team & looking at team motivation levels
- Should focus on team development for them to be able to take on more responsibilities
Process Adherence & MIS :
- Process adherence & discipline key to the assignment
- Need to be MIS driven to drive it down to the team as well
- Set parameters for monitoring zonal performances & give feedback to people accordingly
