Position overview:
We are looking for an experienced management consultant to be based in the New York office. This is a Manager level position in which the individual will be responsible for leading trade process enhancement and reconciliation projects with buy side and sell side clients.
Manage the development and implementation of reconciliations/trade process enhancement projects on client site
Develop understanding of clients challenges, strategic direction and goals
Implement Reconciliations (from Business Requirement definition, Unit Tests and UAT)
Optimize current reconciliation processes by leveraging on Investance Best Practices
Review, analyze and update the current business requirements and attain validation from all divisions within the Back office & Accounting and Finance Group
Lead the Change Management Process throughout the entire life cycle of the project; provide accounting and reconciliation expertise throughout the project
Lead in the User Acceptance Testing/assist in module testing/integration efforts
Interface with business units to validate and gather further requirements as well as manage the Change Management process
Review and provide expert recommendations to the business requirements as well as negotiate with various departments to ensure that all parties are in agreement
Conduct daily status meeting with various members of the Project Management Team to ensure the timely delivery of the project
Assist with the development of the Transaction Management Practice and recruitment efforts
Essential experience and knowledge:
Consulting or Investment Banking/Wider Capital Markets experience
Strong Project Management skills including: time management, subject matter expertise, working well with various departments within the bank, and good communications skills
Knowledge Back Office, Accounting and Finance from a reconciliation perspective
Strong IT skills (SQL) and ability to perform .Net, C#, MS SQL 2008 preferred
Experience working in reconciliations (Cash, Securities, System to System)
Strong knowledge and experience working with Reconciliation tools (i.e. IntelliMatch or Recon +)
Strong knowledge of financial products
Business Development awareness

Qualifications:
Minimum BA/BS in IT or Business Management.
Preferably an MBA with BA/BA in Economics, Business, Engineering or Sciences
