We at RB are looking for a Vendor Development Manager. The Vendor Development Manager ensures that cost effective vendor base is developed and reviewed from time to time to drive the costs down and ensure supply security.    Scope/Dimension of the Role  The role holder interacts closely with the Packaging Development, Manufacturing Quality and R&D teams within the function. S/he works with the Finance function for costing purposes and with the Marketing function for the coordination of promotions.    Responsibilities  Achieve gross margin enhancement through cost optimization  - Alternate Vendor Development for key Raw and Packing materials at lower cost than existing.  - Find out cost saving opportunities through process improvements or others so as to reap benefits for RB.   Support NR Growth  - Develop alternate vendors for critical and mono-sourced items.  - Proactively foresee the potential issues in supplies and work out action plans to ensure availability.  - Work with RM/PM/Copack Managers to develop new vendors so as to support NPDs / EPDs / shifting of production to a new place etc.   Professional Attributes  - Qualification: MBA (Operations Management), Engineering Degree  - 4-6 years of experience in Procurement function in a FMCG organization  - Project management expertise and experience fields like supplier processes.   Personal Attributes  - Achievement focused and able to work in a direct and often pressurized environment.   - Entrepreneurial skills in terms of innovation and problem solving   - Perseverance, tough-mindedness and ability to influence   - Demonstrates strong team working abilities and commitment   - Commercial awareness - Understands the impact of Supply decisions on business profitability   - Strong track record of delivery   - Excellent analytical and communication skills   About RB  RB is different: 'good enough' isn't good enough here.   RB is the world's leading consumer health and hygiene company, with sales in nearly 200 countries and operations in over 60 countries.
