We at RB are looking for Manager - Tax.   The main responsibilities of the incumbent include the following :  - To ensure compliance with Direct tax laws, rules, procedures and regulations.  - To deal with tax and appellate authorities in connection with the assessment and other proceedings. This would include working in close coordination with the external consultants depending on the assignments.    Responsibilities :   - Act as tax consultant/advisor to various units/divisions within the company to ensure compliance and optimization of tax cost within the legal framework. This would include analysis of the provisions of Direct tax and associated requirements in this regard.  - To ensure correct and timely deduction of income tax at source from payments / credits to various vendors, service providers etc and ensure timely deposit of such deductions with the Government treasury.  - To ensure correct determination of advance tax liability and its timely deposit with the Government treasury.  - To ensure accurate calculation and depiction of provision of tax and deferred tax in the financial statements.   - To Coordinate and ensure the preparation of account details and issuance of certificates for Corporate Tax return/ Tax Audit etc.  - To ensure correct and timely compliance with transfer pricing (TP) regulations in relation to all cross border inter-company transactions by compiling the required documentation. Coordinate with TP consultants for compilation of TP study and chartered accountant's certificate.   - To prepare account statements and account reconciliations required for preparation of Corporate Tax Returns.  - To ensure preparation and filing of income tax returns before prescribed due dates.  - To ensure timely compilation of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) Returns and Service Tax Returns  - Timely filling of Corporate Tax Returns, TDS Returns and Service Tax Returns  - To seek opinions and inputs from tax consultants and tax counsels.  - To assist in handling the tax litigations at various appellate levels like Commissioner (Appeals), Tax Tribunals, State High Courts and Supreme Court of India.  - To deal with tax authorities (including authorities for advance ruling) and other regulatory authorities (like DGFT etc) for tax assessment and routine matters.  - To update and report the status of assessments, appeals and other verification/enquiries on a regular basis.  - To work on various tax projects and drafting of agreements, as applicable, from time to time.    Professional Attributes :   - Qualified CA  - 6 to 8 years of experience in FMCG/Pharma Sector and / or Big 4 environment  - Strong understanding of VAT, income tax act and other commercial laws   Personal Attributes :   - Track record of delivery, goal oriented, sets clear priorities and meet deadlines  - Highly organized with ability to prioritize. Must be able to manage time effectively in a challenging environment.  - People management - Proven experience in leading managing and developing teams, able to influence people of all levels.
