Position: R&D manager

Job Description:

- Conceptualize and develop consumer relevant prototypes for India Business.

- Be a Subject Matter Expert for India Business on the category and TC technology platform.

- Execute the product development plan as per the AOP, meeting the cost and timelines expectations.

- Work with marketing team on new flavour, cuts and forms in the category.

- Understand extended technologies like new cuts and forms available and implement in India as per business need.

- Meet plant expectations on training, understanding the product details, process details, consumer defects, so to help plant to make products meeting the design requirement.

- Work closely with quality and production team to ensure that the efficiency and quality norms are met on the existing and new products.

- Acquire TC technology knowledge and initiate the work plan to establish TC line in India

- Market quality tracking thru robust analytical systems and feedback to the plants including co-packers and CQA to help build Product advantage.

- Technical evaluation of co-packer options and establish processes at the co-packer end to deliver superior quality products.

- Work with Agro team in new variety validation / qualification, indentifying right cold stores and establish monitoring system to ensure better quality potato at the later part of Rabi season.

- Work with SRA for compliance in the NPD. Include HACCP system as part of TTD for all NPDs.

- Work with seasoning and SRA team in Salt reduction strategy and seasoning upgrades.

- Drive IPS audits and international protocols on the category to ensure PBS compliance.

- Support TBM in new line commissioning and streamlining the processes.

- Network with Global Technology team to keep up to date with the emerging technology and work to resolve the India specific issues.

Key Skills/Experience Required :

- Masters in Food Technology or Food Engineering.

- Min 9 Years Experience in Food Industry in Product development. It is desirable to have about 2 years of experience in Quality and production
