Specialist Area : This team acts as the business owners for Finance Systems, enabling finance & risk reporting. The team is the system owners for Change control activities

Job Responsibilities :

Purpose of the role :

- Person will be responsible for managing overall delivery of systems transformation and related aspects for Group Finance Systems. They would be expected to lead and develop team ensuring first class service delivery for customers, define, lead and continually improve a robust and compliant support and operating model for all transformation, development and production support activity.

- As a senior member in the Systems and Ledger Control Centre of Excellence, they need to create collaborative working partnerships with key stakeholders and suppliers in Business and also ensure compliance to internal control processes and policies

Role :

- Use in depth technical knowledge to define the solution to the proposed problem, articulate pros and cons of the options being discussed and drive discussion towards optimal solutioning

- Defining project documentation standards and ensuring that all project meets the defined standard

- Build and maintain a network of colleagues and contacts across the group to ensure a relevant flow of information in all development and support work and also to ensure Systems are represented at all appropriate forums

- Liaise with application developers and local IT teams to design and test data migration/loading procedures to support system integration testing and final conversion.

- Responsible for developing and maintaining all documentation and detailed notes related to the migration strategy.

- Produce documentation of business rules, functional specifications, and process interpretation for assigned applications, systems, and business solutions.

- Assist in planning, conducting and directing the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems.

- Data and Batch monitoring, resolution, data recovery, Source Systems/ feeds and monitoring.

Exception Resolution and Management :

- Maintain and continually improve a robust and compliant Support and Operating model for all transformation activities for Systems

- Performing debugging of the user issues and leading implementation of new processes

Requirements :

Experience :

- Strong experience of working within a high pressure development and support environment

- Self starter who can work with a number of different teams across all divisions in the group

- Proven ability of gathering information from a range of different sources and in a number of different ways e.g. data collection, manuals, documentation creation etc

- Knowledge to migrate Financial data from Old systems to the new Oracle Platform.This requires strong system analysis, planning, and testing skills (i.e. data analysis, conversion, and validation against original source data) as well as error handling.

- First class analysis skills with proven ability to solve complex issues, always offering a range of solutions and recommendations to support an agreed resolution

- Excellent Accounting skills required - professional Accounting Qualification preferable

- Knowledge of enterprise general ledger platform transformation

- Knowledge of performing reconciliations

Technical Knowledge :

- CA/ ICWA/MBA/CS (7 years) or commerce Graduate 9 years

- Good knowledge of Project Management Frameworks, Governance, documentation standards and Project Life-cycle

- Well rounded knowledge of Banking Systems including Product Systems and Finance Systems

- Familiarity with process modelling, workshop facilitation and business analysis

Other Significant Role Requirements :

- Well rounded knowledge of Banking Systems within the industry with knowledge on transformation of the Financial Ledger platforms.

- Understanding of Transformation process and exposure in performing migrations and transitions into their BAU support team.

- Excellent knowledge of SOX and the other elements of the Control Framework environment.

- Good Understanding of the BAU Support model operational in support team and flexible to meet the process requirements.

- Knowledge on Reporting systems / Reference Data / System and Data Reconciliations will be an advantage.

- Excellent communications skills.
