Job Description Purpose of the Job To ensure that the planned merchandise mix is achieved on monthly &amp; seasonal basis through appropriate merchandise offering, controlled buy, right costs, timely availability of merchandise and enhanced Sell throughs.Key Result Areas for the Incumbent Process Responsibilities : 1. Analyze, interpret, Suggest, Co-ordinate and support in creating the seasonal Range Architecture based on Past Sales, Trends, Forecasts, Consumer Preferences, Market Research, Market Potential and gross profit requirement. Act as a custodian in maintaining the Category Merchandise Mix 2. Prepare Product Brief on the assigned Category to help to integrate with overall brand strategy. 3. Provide inputs to the design team on product 4. Analyse the sales and the sell-through &amp; Range Effectiveness to understand Best Sellers and Worst Sellers in a particular season 5. Study and analyze the customer preferences, product innovations, fits and styles through market research. 6. Timely Allocation to the WH for the team to dispatch &amp; ensure the merchandise reaches the stores. 7. Tracking of Inwards for each and every style for the season 8. Minimizing the partial deliveries 9. Ensuring the timely inwards and dispatches of Campaign/Catalogue styles. 10. Competition Brand Analysis. 11. Responsible for Buying and planning for the category 12. Ensuring highest sell-through on full price 13. Selection of the right merchandise as per historical Sales. 14. IBTs &amp; replenishment as per day to day sales. 15. VM displays. 16. Permission for the inwards &amp; Partial inwards to ensure that merchandise flow is smooth. 17. The buy budget to be used as per the sales plan 18. VM Interaction: Displays of the window for optimum Sale 19. Retail: Sales Analysis &amp; push where required &amp; Send stock where required 20. Sourcing &amp; Production: Ensure the timely delivery as planned 21. Design For Range Development &amp; Customer feedback. 22. Fabric and Sourcing: To ensure inwards happen at the right time 23. Sales Ensure customer satisfaction and Coordination &amp; sales as per plan 24. VM: Ensure the displays are as per launch &amp; Inward Key Technical competencies required to perform this role Essential : 1. Inventory Management 2. Product Management 3. MS Excel 4. Knowledge of Buying &amp; Merchandising 5. Knowledge of various Retail tools used: Navision ( as of now). Desirable : 1. An eye for Forecasting the trend (Trend Analysis) 2. Competition Analysis
