CFA Level II Must
Responsibility
- The person will work primarily with the Portfolio Management group across multiple asset classes (US Domestic Equity, International Equity, Fixed Income and Alternatives) in helping develop a holistic quantitative research framework covering but not limited to the following areas:
- Analyze/Evaluate investment peer groups to aid analysts develop insights into fund positioning, portfolio construction and risk assessment & management
Using quantitative techniques and statistical analysis to develop tactical asset allocation viewpoints and strategies
- Analyzing performance and risk characteristics of all the asset classes and interaction between them over different phases of the business/market cycle
Thematic research to answer topical asset allocation questions
Education and Experience
- 3-5+ years related experience in quantitative research in financial markets
- Masters degree in relevant field (Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.)
- CFA Level 2 Must
- Rich and varied experience in financial and capital markets is desirable
Skills/Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk management and quantitative disciplines
- Comfortable in writing code with expertise in (at least one) quantitative and statistical packages – R, Matlab, SAS
- Strong ability to think critically and provide thought leadership
- Good communication and writing skills
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects
- Strong knowledge of Excel/VB, Macros, Data management
- Proficient in use of financial tools like Factset, Stylus, Barra, Style Research and/or other portfolio analysis tools
- Ability to quickly learn new tools
