Quantitative Analyst - Actuarial - P&C (1-8 yrs)
Quantitative Analyst - Actuarial (Property & Casualty)
Job Responsibilities:
The Quantitative Analyst will contribute in a wide range of analytic projects:
- Construct analytic frameworks using various quantitative techniques such as dynamic financial analysis, statistical modeling, and optimization algorithms.
- Work closely with actuarial and catastrophe modeling teams to monitor profitability, risk concentration, and to develop new exposure analytics
- Assist in developing other tools and processes necessary to support Global Property Underwriting
- Document and present technical results
Technical Qualifications:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in statistics, engineering, mathematics, actuarial science, computer science, or economics
- Two or more years of experience in insurance/reinsurance quantitative analysis
- Minimum two actuarial exams (or equivalent) preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Experience in Relational Database Management Systems (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Experience in statistical analysis tools (e.g. R, MATLAB, SAS)
- Experience in computer programming (e.g. VBA, Python, Java, C/C++, UNIX/Cygwin tools)
