The responsibility will include managing legal Contract:

- Hands on experience with independently handling matters related to drafting of contracts for businesses deals, property deals, employment related matters, inter company contracts, drafting etc.

- Should have basic knowledge in reviewing and negotiating of commercial agreements (including working knowledge of market data issues.

- Independent liaison with the relevant business and corporate divisions.

- Provide commercially savvy legal advice on a variety of matters.

- Timely closure and senior management reporting of matters. Experience in managing a team and multitasking.

- Scrutiny and provide legal review of Request for Proposal (RFP), Expression of Interest (EOI), and Bid Documents of Institutional/Government Procurement Entities (PEs).

- Participate in PEs meeting and offer legal advice in negotiations and execution of supplies of Goods, Works and Services contracts.

- Prepare complex legal agreements, contracts, contract amendments, memoranda of understanding, Joint Venture Agreement, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreements, service level agreements (SLA), special legal provisions, formal letters and other legal documents as well as the relevant supporting documentation to accompany the legal documents and agreements.

- Provide continuous legal support in connection with ongoing tender implementation activities.

- Advise on practical legal strategies such as contract negotiation with suppliers, vendors, etc., to help achieve procurement objectives in accordance with the supplies contracts of PEs.

Qualifications/Skills Required :

- University Degree in law from an accredited and recognized institution (NALSAR, Bangalore law school etc)

- 5-8 years of professional legal experience in international law in an international setting.

- Additional professional experience in an undertaking where contractual or commercial transactions play an important role will be considered an advantage.

- Practical experience in public procurement will be preferred.

- Excellent written and oral knowledge of English.

- Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills.

- Strong proven and sustained communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to prepare reports and memorandum of law, formulate clear legal positions and arguments, and conduct effective presentation of issues, and effectively listen and respond to others.

- Demonstrated effective skills in concisely conveying legal options to fellow team members, management and customers/external contacts, and in advancing well-reasoned and creative recommendations.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and working groups in a multi-cultural environment, as well as to work well individually.

- Excellent work planning skills and management of work plans, schedules and priorities.

- Absolute discretion in the handling of sensitive, proprietary or confidential information.
