Quality Assurance - Financial Crime Surveillance

- We have a Urgent requirement of tenured & experienced professionals to lead the Quality Assurance function within the Financial Crime Surveillance Group within the Captive Shared Service Centre.

- Roles will be based in any of their service center locations in India & overseas.

Job Description : Quality Assurance (Financial Crime Surveillance)

- The role has functional management of Quality Assurance related to Financial Crime Surveillance covering Transaction Monitoring / Screening / Trade Monitoring within the operations team in India & Overseas.

Job Purpose :

- This role has responsibilities for the day to day running of the Quality Assurance of Financial Crime Surveillance across all service center locations in India & overseas.

Responsibilities :

Processes :

- Build and Monitor quality assurance programs for Financial Crime Surveillance covering areas like Transaction Monitoring, Screening- Name and Transaction, Trade Monitoring and other support processes/ functions.

- Plan for resources and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the QA teams.

- Review existing assurance practices periodically and ensure that the QA approach is always adequate and relevant.

- Maintain independence (from operations) and provide accurate and dependable information to Senior Management on capabilities of the FCSU processes.

People and Talent :

- Create an environment of development and strengthen the team's capabilities through structured training programs.

- Create a sustainable leadership pipeline through specific programmes for top talent.

- Create engagement within teams to ensure high performers are retained.

- Set clear job objectives and description for direct reports and monitor progress against desired objectives, provide timely feedback and reward best performers.

Risk Management :

- Further enhance controls within Quality Assurance in FCSU.

- Highlight key risk areas to the right level.

- Plan and ensure a high level of readiness for Audit and Regulatory reviews.

Change Management :

- Successfully implement both strategic and tactical changes to existing processes.

- Contribute to the successful roll out of end-to-end QA process as per prevailing model.

Governance and Stakeholder Management :

- Proactively engage with appropriate stakeholders across the Group to resolve problems/ challenges.

- Collaborate with country teams to ensure consistent application of standards.

Knowledge And Skills :

Education :

- University level graduate with post graduate qualification preferred. Industry level certifications such as CAMS is desired.

Work Experience of at least 18 years overall work experience in the fields of banking, financial crime and compliance

Financial Crime Knowledge :

- At least 10 years experience in the domain of financial crime,Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions and Trade AML.

Management Knowledge : Extensive experience in management of Audit/ Quality Assurance teams across multiple locations

Stakeholder Engagement :

- Experience working with senior executive level management including external stakeholders such as regulators and auditors

Market Knowledge :

- Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Bank operates and positioning self as a thought leader in the financial crime space

Business Strategy and Model :

- Awareness of the key tenets of our business strategy and operating model and positioning the company as a leader in the financial space

Risk Management and Control :

- Deep understanding of processes and the ability to leverage on technology solutions as a methodology to alleviate risk. Awareness and understanding of the different types of risks facing the business - legal, compliance (regulatory), operational, technology, credit etc. and applying this knowledge in the design of product processes

Financial Analysis and Control :

- Ability to interpret financial information on Cost Management and ensure flexibility in processes to ensure action can be taken as appropriate based on this financial information.
