PwC is hiring Senior/ Principal Consultant for Government & Public Sector.  Education: BE/ B.Tech or BE/ B.tech/ MBA from recognized institute.  Experience  Over 10 years of work experience with over 7 years in government advisory / consulting  Base Location: Kolkata  Project Location: Ranchi  Roles & Responsibilities   Providing advisory services to the State government across the following areas:  - Assisting the state government on reforms, policies, and planning  - Providing advisory on planning, including baseline review reports, gap analysis, periodic review reports, development planning, capacity building, change management, integrated planning, assisting in data collation and analysis for planning, framework development  - IT, e-governance, and mobile-governance, including drafting new e-governance and m-governance opportunities, monitoring & evaluation of projects  - Advising CM Secretariat on budgeting, budget reforms, and the best budgeting practices  - Drafting concept notes on PPP  - Analysis of PPP projects at state, national, and international level, etc.  - Creating SMART problem statements based on thorough research on the key issues faced by various departments of the State government  - Analyzing the - as is- situation and providing viable recommendations / strategy for the problem statements  - Helping the client make better strategic, policy and program decisions based on a more complete understanding and evaluation of outcomes, opportunities and risks   - Taking complete ownership of the assignments  - Team Development: Contribute towards building the team by mentoring, retaining, attracting, and developing some of the best available talent  - Business Development: Work, in a collaborative manner, alongside the leaders and other teams to pursue and respond to client opportunities  Candidate Specifications:  - Strong hold on consulting tool kit  - Superior problem solving and issue tree creation skills  - Strong secondary research and primary research skills  - Deep understanding of the functioning of government and its agencies  - Ability to step back, think strategically, and stay on top of the bigger picture  - Self-motivated and able to work autonomously  - Willingness and ability to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines, working with individuals who have different working styles, and managing challenging expectations  - Ability to communicate and present well with both junior and senior audiences  - Exceptional team player
