Roles & Responsibilities (essential functions and responsibilities of the job): Senior Consultant - Solution Architect

Roles & Responsibility:

- Selected candidate will be responsible for conceptualising ICT strategy, understanding the as-is state, conduct gap analysis and define SOA based target solution architecture blueprint for an organisation.

- Selected candidate will be responsible for documenting, detailing and presenting the target state solution architecture to relevant stakeholders.

- Selected candidate will be responsible to lead the overall solution framework to guide the design of a business application and its implementation. Also, Lead in designing, specifying and selecting information system solutions, considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance

- Selected candidate would be responsible to identify application logical components and interfaces, their implementation through a combination of reuse/buy/build options, as well as to recommend the right technologies and configurations for their deployment for all architecture tiers.

- Selected candidate will be responsible for creating integration framework for diverse multi- platform systems at an urban scale.

- Selected candidate would be required to ensure governance of Solution Architecture throughout the implementation and enhancement period.

- Estimate cost, and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licenses, development and support

- Understand and support to software architecture design and support development teams of implementation vendors

- Selected candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed project report, terms of reference for tender documents, and monitoring large scale implementation projects in urban mobility domain

- Selected candidate will be responsible for manging small team and ensuring that project deliverables are met on a timely basis

Education and Experience:

Essential: BE + M.Tech /MS; Over 3 years of experience as Solution Architect

Desirable: Past experience in working with government clients. Certifications such as TOGAF

Experience: 7+ years

Skills

- Experience of developing Services Orientated Architectures (SOA) and Enterprise Service Bus

- Deep understanding of architecture best practices, modern day application design patterns and programming techniques

- Experience in architecting/ enhancing an application platform or product

- Experience in integration of applications across diverse platforms

- Proven experience on modelling and documenting solution architecture with key competence in at least one are out of - Process modelling, data modelling, logical application architecture, deployment architecture etc.

- Good knowledge/ experience on multi-channel solution design considerations.

- Good knowledge of security considerations for products / service delivery platforms.

- Experience in planning and executing data migration strategy & tools for large platforms would be desirable.

- Experience in application portfolio rationalization & management techniques & tools would be desirable.

- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or the equivalent

- Experience in creating business, functional and technical architecture in large enterprise setting

- Ability to handle complex assignment independently

- Ability to work with ambiguity

- Team player - Work in a large team with people from diverse backgrounds

- Ability to interact with client (Senior government officials)
