The Research & Benchmarking team consists of professionals focused on market & competitive intelligence, thought leadership, business analytics and knowledge management to produce high value offerings that generate benefits for the firm and its clients. The R&B professionals will work with PwC US and client teams covering a wide area of activities, including market research, competition analysis, benchmarking etc., which influence the overall firm strategy besides supporting client relationship building activities.
Job Overview
The incumbent will play critical roles in business analytics to support both client and internal projects. Responsibilities include gathering of financial, industry-specific market and business information, using internal and external research resources such as industry journals, analyst reports as well as information databases. The Associate works closely with client and project teams and will provide the required support across various research projects.
Position Requirements
Knowledge Preferred: Ideal candidates should have
- Understand and should have performed business research
Supported or conducted market, industry & competitive research
Experience in supporting or leading benchmarking projects from questionnaire design, survey implementation, data gathering, analyses and report
- Experience or worked on tools:
Online databases like Bloomberg, Hoovers, Factiva, One Source, Thomson, Capital IQ etc.
Survey tools such as survey monkey, Vovici, etc.
Skills Preferred:
The incumbent should be able to demonstrate proven and thorough knowledge /success in supporting large multinational teams through the design and implementation of changes to strategy and operations.
The following skills are most essential:
- Strategic and creative thinking, problem solving, and taking individual initiative
- Exposure to working in teams
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Advanced skills in MS Excel / MS Access, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
- Basic understanding of Project Management techniques and tools
Professional & Educational Background and Years of Experience:
Ideal candidate would have a undergraduate degree from top engineering institutes (IIT- s, NIT- s, BITS Pilani etc)/ MA Economics from top graduate colleges, followed by upto 2 years of relevant experience. Postgraduate optional
Experience in either of the following industries will be most preferred:
Telecommunications Internet Communication and Entertainment (with a heavy focus on High-Technology / Telecommunications); Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences; Consumer & Industrial Products.
Additionally, experience in aerospace & defense, automotive, chemicals, engineering & construction, oil & gas, industrial manufacturing, and / or transportation & logistics industry capabilities will be considered relevant as well.
