Job Summary:  The person is expected to be an expert in Economics as well as econometrics / statistics. He/she would be responsible for leading the analysis of an international technology statistical index.   Roles & Responsibilities):  - Research and analysis of economic data in information technology aspects across domains  - Design and conduct surveys and collect data.   - Development and maintenance of statistical model for understanding interactions across domains  - Analyse data using mathematical models and statistical techniques.  - Interpret and forecast information technology market trends  - Prepare reports, tables, and charts that present research results  - Monitoring data collected throughout its shelf-life   - Present the findings in different forums  - Advise businesses, governments, and individuals on economic topics  - Design policies or make recommendations for solving economic problems  - Write articles for publication in newsletters and academic journals  Education and Experience:  Essential Education Qualification: Master's degree in Economics / Public Policy / Public Administration / Statistics (Ph.D. preferred)  Experience: 8+ years relevant experience  Industry preference: IT/Digital Sector  Technical Skills:  - Candidate should have worked in the Economics and Statistics related domain (preferably in IT sector) and also in consulting world where he / she is used to faster turnarounds.  - Must be an expert on economics, econometrics and statistics. Also, experience with statistical analysis - time series and regression analysis  - Experience in advanced statistical and mathematical modelling (SPSS, MATLAB, SAS, etc.)  - Experience in predictive analytics and other statistical analytics driven approaches and solutions  - Experience in designing and conducting surveys  - Ability to accurately process and analyze data in different formats.  - Must have in-depth understanding of information technology industry ecosystem  - Must have broad-level understanding of the new technologies such as mobile, big data, cloud computing etc  - Must have published academic papers   Personal Skills:  - Good with presentations and documentation  - Excellent communication skills  - Ability to handle complex assignment independently  - Team player - Work in a large team with people from diverse backgrounds  - Ability to interact with client  - Ability to take ownership of a project and to accurately and efficiently produce results.  - Ability to communicate results and findings to non-statisticians  - A high level of accuracy and attention to detail  - Capability to work to deadlines and to plan your work  - Problem solving skills
