Job Summary:  Candidate must be an Engineering Graduate and should have 15-20 years- experience of Purchase function in a large or medium Engineering industry in a pre- fabricated steel or Sheet metal or Steel doors industry would be given preference.  Roles and Responsibilities:  Candidate should be able to forecast levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keep a constant check on the stock levels.  Candidate should be good at steering research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.  Candidate must be good at Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers  He should be able to identify potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them  Candidate should be an adept at negotiations and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided.  Candidate should be tactful in processing payments and invoices and keeping contract files and using them as reference for the future.  Candidate should be able to forecast the price trends and their impact on future activities  Candidate must be proficient in giving presentations about market analysis and possible growth and develop an outlook for organization's purchasing strategy  Candidate should be Managing Incoming, outgoing and overall Stores, Dispatch and Procuring planning.  Candidate must be capable in generating reports and statistics - MIS reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annually)  Ensuring suppliers are aware of our business objectives  Attending meetings and trade conferences  Should be able to training and supervising the work of other members of staff in the function.  Required Skills:  Ability to get along with existing team and give deliverable in line of Organizational and business needs,  Candidate should have been in Managerial position for a period of 8-10 years in his total experience.  Good at numbers  Conversant with knowledge of SAP MM (ERP is preferred).  Well versed with MS Office.( Excel, Word & PPT)  Engineering Graduate in Mechanical or Civil.  Conversant with working in an ERP Environment i.e. SAP MM module.  Any additional qualification would be an added advantage with respect to the function
