The Senior Sourcing Manager will lead the Mumbai Sourcing team (comprised of Procurement & Operations) to deliver a range of Sourcing activities. The Sourcing activities shall include but not be limited to processing of a high volume of simple procurement transactions (low risk, low value), governance & compliance, risk co-ordination, quality assurance and development, maintenance and support of our UK Contracts Database.  In leading the Mumbai Sourcing team, the Senior Sourcing Manager shall work closely with Head of Procurement (UK) and the Sourcing Operations Manager (UK) to ensure delivery of both the priorities of Prudential UK and its UK Sourcing function.  Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:  Sourcing Team:  - Manage and motivate the Mumbai Sourcing team members though the provision of 1:1's, performance management, coaching, counselling, redirection and assignment of development opportunities.  - Provide central resource management and make priority decisions relating to team to ensure timely delivery of BAU and project work against expectations.  - Take ownership and leadership of all Sourcing governance and compliance matters relating to the Mumbai Sourcing team.  - Ensure timely delivery of all Sourcing department MI.  - Represent Sourcing via direct Customer & Stakeholder Engagement.   - In collaboration with the Head of Procurement and the Sourcing Operations Manager develop skills and talent in Prudential UK's Mumbai Sourcing team.  - Create an environment that encourages all Sourcing teams to work together for mutual benefit.  - Act as a key person in driving innovation and change across the Sourcing function.   - Ensure the delivery and behaviours of the Mumbai Sourcing team are aligned to the overall Sourcing vision, purpose and priorities set out by the Sourcing Leadership Team (UK).  Procurement:   - Develop and lead a Mumbai Procurement team that possesses commercial acumen, drive and capability to undertake a range of simple/ high volume procurement transactions (low value, low risk) across various categories of spend including but not limited to HR, IT, Marketing, Professional Services etc.  - Drive commercial value from our simple transactions including savings, cost avoidance and added value.  - Create & drive effective metrics and data to measure the value that the Mumbai Procurement team delivers.  - Working with the Head of Sourcing Procurement continue to develop & evolve the future offshore procurement capability required to support Prudential UK  Operations  - Develop and lead the Sourcing Operations team to deliver against our Risk and Governance reporting requirements including supporting the Business to meet its obligations in respect of managing relationships.  - In collaboration with the Sourcing Operations Manager support the development, agreement and communication of sourcing policy and processes.  - To demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and issues within the business area, alongside ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise  Key Interfaces:   Internal & External:  - Head of Procurement UK  - Sourcing Operations Manager UK  - Designated UK Business areas to drive/deliver/support their sourcing initiatives under sponsorship  - UK Legal   - Risk Teams to ensure implementation of fully compliant sourced contract  - Sourcing individuals in the UK Team  - Knowledge Services, SME's - Suppliers, potential suppliers and other third parties  - Occasionally contract Advisers, Lawyers, Consultants supporting sourcing initiatives  Competence / Knowledge / Skills required:  Qualification, Knowledge & Experience:  - Overall 10 to 15 years experience  - Degree in Business Management or Supply Chain Management preferred  - [4] + years leadership and people management experience  - [3] years in a procurement transactions/contracts environment  - Commercial negotiation skills and experience  - Good understanding of UK Contract Law/Terms  - Understanding of sourcing deal structure & options  Skills:  - Excellent Leadership skills, an ability to lead, develop and motivate Sourcing teams  -
