Senior Consultant - IT Audit- Telecom

Role Overview :

- We have a challenging opportunity opened up for the role of Senior Consultant in our Internal Audit and Risk Advisory practice.

- Senior consultants work in a client facing role and take on the responsibility of carrying out Technology reviews for telecom operators in and around middle-east. They assist clients in addressing Technology operational and strategic risks. They work in teams to provide high-quality execution of projects for clients in Communications and other industries.

- Typical projects comprise of conducting IT General Controls, Application controls, Risk Assessment, and bench marking as per best practices. Provide recommendations to clients for improvement or remediation and draft reports on gaps & key issues requiring redress.

- Senior consultants demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge by staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.

- They establish deep relationships with client personnel (at appropriate levels) by understanding client's perspective and become the de-facto go-to-person. Their work output is expected to be of outstanding quality.

- Senior consultants also participate in business and practice development initiatives for e.g. working on business proposals, identifying business leads, etc.

- In addition, they get opportunities to perform research and contribute to the development of thought leadership. If assigned, they are expected to coach, train and support junior members in the team.

Key Responsibilities :

- Spearhead client facing teams and guide them on solution delivery. Independently lead smaller modules of the engagement.

- Assist clients in addressing Technology, operational and strategic risks.

- Deliver exceptional value to the client by performing high quality reviews and identifying opportunities of improvements which positively impact the bottom line of business.

- Identify, assess and recommend risks by developing a risk management plan and strategy and identify opportunities to improve business processes.

- Assist team members in developing technical and professional competency. Coach, train and support consultants in the team.

- Independently execute assignments,Typical assignments comprise of conducting reviews related to Network and Billing systems, General and Application controls, ERP reviews, evaluating the effectiveness of the controls within the process and systems, document the understanding by means of flowchart and bench marking functions based on best practices.

- Manage multiple assignments and related project teams.

- Meet quality guidelines within the established turnaround time (or allotted budget) for assigned requests.

- Establish deep relationships with client personnel (at appropriate levels) by understanding client's perspective.

- Assist clients with testing internal process controls and developing internal audit plans.

- Constantly monitor project progress, manage risk and verify key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. - Participate in sales and support business development initiatives.

Desired Profile :

- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Management, and Finance, Accounting or equivalent work experience required. Must possess at least one of the following certifications. CIA, CEH, ISO 27001, CISA, CISM or CISSP.

- Minimum 3+ years experience in a related field, preferably in IT internal audit, IT consulting, advisory, professional services and/or industry.

- Excellent understanding of telecom business processes and internal control concepts (COSO, COBIT), knowledge of process gaps identification and auditing methodologies (including flow charting), IT Infrastructure and methodologies for achieving compliance.

- Knowledge in data analysis tools - ACL, SQL, VBA, IDEA, etc.

- Working knowledge of auditing processes and methodologies, including flow charting.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications. Prior project management and supervisory skills required.

- Strong inter-personnel, analytical and management skills.

- Possesses excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Good oral and written communication skills including documentation of findings and recommendations. Adept at preparing and presenting reports to an audience.

- Ability to travel as necessary to meet client needs. This may require travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. Second language skills and international business experience will be useful.
