Project Manager - Infrastructure

Project Manager – 1 ( IT Infrastructure (Servers, Storage, SAN, Switches, Blades, Windows, Unix, etc)

Responsibilities

- Engage, promote and improve the Informatica IT Project Management methodology

- Control the day-to-day aspects of projects and programs with regard to scope, schedule, resources and budget

- Establish and manage project schedules and work breakdown structures to ensure project objectives are met

- Create and drive project plans to optimize resources

- Coordinate activities of sub-teams

- Document and communicate status, issues, and risks in a timely manner to project team and senior management

- Proactively manage project issues to resolution

- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion

- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project lifecycle

- Serve as the first point of escalation for the project team

- Ensure high team morale

- Build strong business relationships

- Actively participate in the execution of the PMO strategy within the organization

Qualifications

- Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience leading IT global operations/infrastructure projects with remote project teams

- Experience in data center relocation projects with significant enterprise infrastructure including server infrastructure supporting a virtual environment, LAN and WAN network equipment as well as storage and carrier connectivity.

- Managed budgets between $2M+and annual operating costs of $600K

- Demonstrated experience leading IT projects in at least 2 technical areas, e.g. infrastructure, operations, networking, telecom, and security

- Demonstrated experience in applying project management methodology

- Demonstrated track record of delivering projects in scope, on-time, and within budget

- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

- Outstanding facilitation, leadership and problem solving skills

- Demonstrated commitment to quality

- Demonstrated proficiency with PPM Tools ( INNOTAS, Microsoft Project Manager )

- BA/BS in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical discipline

- Prior experience as an IT Operations, Infrastructure, or Network/Telecom function lead or analyst is desirable
