Project Manager - Banking & Insurance (7-14 yrs)

W are hiring for Project Managers for a leading financial captive.

Role Description:

The Project Manager will play a critical role in the end to end conceptualisation and delivery of cross-functional projects. He / She is responsible for leading teams through the full project life cycle (initiation, design, build, test, implementation and review).

The Project Manager will ensure that the project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality standard (within agreed specifications). He / she ensures the project is effectively resourced and manages relationships with a wide range of groups (including all project contributors).

Responsibilities:

- Initiating new programmes and projects, identifying the outcomes required and putting plans in place to deliver them

- Excellent stakeholder engagement to ensure stakeholders informed and able to make required decisions

- Organising programmes into work-streams, development of plans, identification and management of dependencies

- Leading the Project team(s) to deliver the required outcomes

- Accurate, timely & effective status reporting delivered to central PMO and key stakeholders

- Effective risk & issue management enabling early identification and appropriate resolution or mitigation action

- Effective use of change governance to control the safe progression of projects at key points in their lifecycle to reduce risks to delivering on time and on budget

- Effective use of 3rd Parties to support delivery as agreed with the Head of Change and sponsors

- Effective budget management at a programme or project portfolio level including estimating, forecasting, analysis and the authorisation of spend

- Matrix management of business resources assigned to projects

- Work closely with the Internal security, compliance and legal teams so that the solution is fully compliant and as per the bank standards

- Work closely with the technology team to identify new tools, technologies which assist in streamlining, automation, involved in POC for various vendor to the Bank

- Handling stakeholders who are global heads and CXO levels in the bank

- Managing work in a fast paced matrix environment including across multiple geographies, functions and organizations

Requirements:

- Min 6 - 10 years of experience in project management.

- People management & Stakeholder management

- Excellent understanding of Project life cycle and change delivery transformation frameworks.

- PMP Certification / Prince 2 certification
