Programme Manager - Wide Area Network

WAN Programme Manager

- This position is based in Bangalore

- This is a contract based mandate.

Responsibilities:

- Accountable for timely delivery of global WAN/Internet upgrade programme within budget

- Manage 3rd party supplier responsible for delivery of WAN/Internet upgrades

- Assure and contribute to joint delivery plans

- Assure and contribute to joint governance and reporting

- Ensure best practices are being deployed globally to achieve consistency and standardization

- Ensure timely completion of service handover activities post upgrade

- Manage scope, inter-programme dependencies and overall budget

- Liaise with relevant programme stakeholders to manage scope and expectations

- Align programme delivery plan to manage inter-programme dependencies

- Co-ordinate with procurement and Network Services organisation for commercial reviews

- Ongoing monitoring and analysis of cost to complete against the budget to support commercial decisions

- Co-ordinate virtual regional project manager's team to ensure consistent delivery globally to achieve overall programme objectives

- Manage risk/issues and escalations from the regional project managers

- Ongoing reviews/report to the Global Network Uplift Programme Manager to seek opportunities for delivery of efficiency savings through continual improvements

Profile :

Essential Experience/skills :

- Proven track record in managing complex projects/programmes

- At least 2 years experience in a Wide Area Network and Internet links environment

- Knowledge of network switching technologies

- Experience in a very large multi-national corporate environment

- Ability to adopt flexible working hours as needed to support global team
