Position Summary

Provides vision and leadership as well as the management and supervision of the IT infrastructure Projects, including Data Center Network, Server, Storage, email and messaging, voice/data network and the host/server infrastructure environment in addition to other duties as assigned; Manages critical technical Project services and works with numerous other technology; Responsible for the supervision of IT employee(s); Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws; Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees

- Oversees the leadership, vision, long range goals and objectives of the IT infrastructure, including data center, systems administration, email, voice/data network, and host/server environment

- Directs and manages the projects of the Infrastructure Services Division of the IT Department in accordance with the organization's values and objectives

- Leads the daily project deliverables of all server systems, data networks and voice, including advanced tuning and performance of systems and network; network configuration, network design, implementation, and all related cyber security concerns

- Ensures compliance by IT professionals and staff within the IT Department with adopted IT values, standards, practices and plans

- Provides management direction and leadership for new systems development and implementation

- Participates in and assists with ongoing analysis, development, design and implementation of new information systems and infrastructure including setting standards, data design and integration of standards and design

- Manages all data as a secure asset, responsible for systems and network security, disaster recovery and business continuity

- Reviews and analyzes Client programs, Projects and works with Customer departments to develop technology strategies to address their current and future business needs

Leadership and Management

- Leads and supervises the network, infrastructure, telecom, and customer Project teams

- Participates on the Leadership team and contributes to the strategy, vision, and direction of the organization

- Contributes to the success of the Customer IT Infrastructure and assists in improving the overall customer experience within the assigned team continually; Participates and contributes to overall IT leadership team

- Ensures that the Customer mission and vision, strategy and business plan (and any updates) are communicated to and understood by all members of the assigned team

- Ensures the team's KPI- s/SMART goals are established and monitored, actions are taken and evaluated accordingly - delegating as appropriate

- Conducts regular reviews of assigned staff and develops personal development plans, following capability processes where appropriate; Ensures continual development of the team and individuals occurs and that the highest potential is achieved

- Reviews aspects/areas for improvement with own practice/processes, and those within the assigned area of responsibility

- Ensures communication takes place both upwards and downwards across the assigned area of responsibility

- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of and ability to apply the Customer policies; Seeks support regarding personnel matters from the appropriate manager and/or Talent as needed and as appropriate

- Works under the direction of the appropriate Leader to monitor financial management within the assigned team, with the support of the Finance Department, ensuring purchase orders are placed promptly and Purchase Card(s) are managed according to the policies outlined by the Finance and Accounting department

- Participates in the development of the Information Technology Department's annual budget and is responsible for the budget and programs associated with Infrastructure Services

- Serves as a member of the IT Management Team and works collaboratively with all other IT staff to ensure comprehensive planning and service delivery, using best practice methodology, in accordance with IT Department and organizational goals

- Builds successful working and IT support relationships across the organization including external customers, partners and vendors

- Meets customer service financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field required; Master's Degree preferred; In lieu of Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Minimum of 15+ years of progressively responsible experience within the Information Technology field, with a minimum of 8+ years supervisory experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

- Knowledge of current practices and technologies in technology infrastructure, including network administration/projects, systems administration, telecommunications administration, technical client services administration and communication

- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Network Data/Voice systems, server administration, server virtualization, storage virtualization, complex corporate-type networks, and cyber security

- Ability to keep current on developing technologies and potential impact on District operations

- Ability to relate to a wide variety of people and to observe, listen, motivate, and provide leadership which results in the best environment

- Ability to manage financial, material, and human resources effectively

- Ability to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate program goals and initiatives

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to make oral presentations to various audiences including Client leadership, departments, and communities Working Conditions:
