Product Marketing Manager - Telecom (3-15 yrs)
We are currently hiring a Product Marketing Manager for a Leading Telecom Firm that is renowned for its multi-cultural work environment coupled with enormous amount of opportunities to grow within the organisation.
Role Purpose :
Champion new product development and go to market for mobility voice & data :
- Outline market strategy & product portfolio.
- Manage product portfolio development.
- Formulate new product propositions.
- Establish products business cases.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver product propositions.
- Prepare and execute go-to-market strategy.
- Manage the post launch life-cycle of products.
- Deliver against P&L and KPIs for product portfolio.
- Ensure product alignment with the Group.
Key Responsibilities :
New product development & go to market approaches :
Market strategy & product portfolio :
- Drive market information collection.
- Articulate and drive market strategy.
- Create and publish product portfolio.
- Define High level Business Case for portfolio (opportunity sizing).
- Identify best practices relevant to portfolio (benchmark with competition).
- Align portfolio strategy with group.
Define and develop new products/propositions (according to portfolio) :
- Identify and define business requirements.
- Develop value proposition.
- Screen market for available solutions, technologies and vendors.
- Detail solution options & use cases.
- Document product functional requirements (interface with NW/VAS/IT on definition).
- Outline product support and reporting requirements.
Establish product business case :
- Size market opportunity.
- Project revenues.
- Define price proposals.
- Define cost targets for product development.
Product delivery :
- Plan product development.
- Lead product implementation.
- Drive feasibility assessments.
- Define business and operational process.
- Track performance to plan.
- Prepare and perform systems availability and operational readiness tests.
- Prepare and perform user acceptance tests.
- Train involved teams (Operations, CS).
Go to market :
- Establish product ta-riffing and market propositions.
- Outline distribution requirements for market segments: channel mix, new channels, commissions/incentives, contracts, etc
- Plan and execute marcom activities, inc. creation and production of marketing collateral.
- Lead product promotion initiatives, i.e. Experience Zone (concept to execution).
- Design and deliver product training's to sales teams.
- Communicate with sales teams and customers in circles -(Dissemination to circles- ).
Products Life-cycle Management :
- Define target customer segments & customer life-cycle and actions along the product road-map.
- Liaise with circle teams to capture new insights, comprehend deficiencies, and trigger & proceed into product enhancements & corrective actions.
- Ensure that products are competitive and/or innovative, substantiates brand promise & are aligned with the organizational objectives.
- Own and ensure commercial success of portfolio including P&L (i.e. ARPU, customer development) and non-financial KPIs (retention, loyalty, churn reduction, customer satisfaction).
- Ensure that product specific processes meet customer experience requirements.
- Manage excess and obsolete marketing materials.
- Manage product transitions/discontinuances.
Pre Requisites :
- This is a diversity hire,hence applications invited only from female candidates.
- Preferably a management graduate with minimum 4 years of experience into product marketing from verticals such as Telecom,Banking,Insurance or IT.
- Should be an effective communicator.
