Job Description:

Product management teams are responsible for product conceptualization, feature detailing and evangelization. This includes gathering market needs, prioritizing product and customer requirements, evaluating competition, defining & detailing features and working closely with engineering to deliver the finished product. The product management team is also responsible for evangelizing the product features with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

Product Roadmap:

- Connect with internal and external customers to understand their needs and define use cases

- Analyze google analytics data to draw insights from ALPS usage data and identify features that are most used and changes to the product that will increase usability and engagement

- Evaluate competitive products to identify gaps between competition and ALPS

- Create, maintain and prioritize a 2 year product backlog

Feature Detailing and Problem Solving:

- Identify analytical challenges, define the hypotheses/problem statement, collaborate with data scientists solve problems and integrate solutions back into the product

- Collaborate with UX designers to define innovative solutions to simplify user experience

- Collaborate with Engineering and QA architects to create/modify product features in a way to enhance performance and reliability of product features

- Create detailed use cases and user stories for product features, be a product owner when collaborating with sprint teams

Evangelizing:

- Demo product features to internal and external customers on the release of new features and/or on need basis

- Respond to customer feedback and product usage questions/faqs

- Brief and train the sales force and development teams

Collateral Development:

- Collaborate with content writes to develop messaging, positioning and value proposition statements for the product

Qualifications:

- MBA graduate from Tier 1 business school with 4-8 yrs experience

OR

- Engineering graduate from Tier 1 institutions with 6-10 yrs experience

Desired Skills:

- Prior product management experience or experience in building products is an added advantage

- Prior experience in agile development is an added advantage

- Attention to detail

- Flair with numbers with a continuous focus on metrics & data

- Strong knowledge in digital marketing or search marketing

- Understanding of statistical modeling, data mining and text mining techniques

- Understanding of the complete product lifecycle

- Ability to organize, plan, manage and prioritize tasks

- Strong written and verbal communication skills a must
