About Our Client
Our client is a global Private Equity fund with over $35bn in assets under management. With some of the most reputed names in the Indian PE industry leading the institution, the fund is well positioned to capitalize on investment opportunities in India. This role is based in Chennai and you will be part of a small team working on transactions and managing relationships in the region
Job Description
- This role will be highly analytical in nature and would involve a significant amount of financial modeling
- You will source, evaluate, execute and monitor investments made in the region
- You will have a good amount of energy and initiative given the size of the team. Over a short period of time, you will be expected to manage relationships and take ownership of your work and deals
- You will conduct industry research and write reports on trends and opportunities within sub sectors of the industries you cover
The Successful Applicant
- You must demonstrate a clear inclination to build a career in Chennai
- This position is open to pre and post MBA candidates
- For the pre-MBA candidates, you will have excellent academic credentials and be from IIT's batches of 2008, 2009 and 2010 with 2-3 years experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking or Management Consulting
- For the post-MBA candidates, you will have done your bachelors from a reputed institution like IIT and an MBA from ISB / IIM shortly thereafter. Priority will be given to candidates from the 2010 /2011 MBA batches with no more than 3 years total work experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking or Management Consulting
- You must have outstanding analytical skills and be proficient in building complex financial models
- Sound understanding of excel and powerpoint
