Description  Position Title: Manager (Level-2)   Business Unit: SBD   Date Written: Apr 25th 2014   Position Purpose: Manage relationships with US and PGS stakeholders. Partnership and relationship management  - Managing relationships with US & PGS stakeholders and understanding of overall SBD business strategy and operational plans.  - Support and partner with IT teams for various IT solutions for product, program and project planning and implementation  - Assist US counterparts to identify areas wherein PGS teams can be engaged to support business processes.  - Understanding of business processes and workflow and aligning PGS operations accordingly to achieve desired results.  - Lead BU level identified cross functional initiatives.  50%  2. Operations  - Manage SBD operations and ensure that the SLA's for the various processes are achieved on a consistent and sustainable basis.  - Optimize resource and capacity requirements.  - Establish and continuously improve operations management processes including risk management, communication management, capacity management and budget / cost management.  - Support migrations team for smooth and seamless migrations of identified processes to PGS. 20%  3. People development  - Identify training needs for direct reports and team members for current as well as future requirements.  - Build domain and business knowledge in PGS operations team.  - Coach and mentor direct reports and high potential team members.  - Periodic performance appraisal of the team. 15%  4. Other responsibilities  - Stay abreast of current industry trends and changes in business environment and provide inputs to management.   - Metrics reporting and analysis of the metrics to enable informed decision making.  - Budgeting and forecasting for the PGS SBD operations. 15%  Know-How/Skill Sets: Describe the education, work experience, knowledge, skills, and physical and mental requirements needed to perform the essential functions.   Education: At least 15 years of formal education from a reputed educational institute / university.  Experience: 14 - 16 years of experience of with 2 -3 years of experience in solutioning is recommended.   Skill: Requires strong domain and business knowledge of Insurance and associated products, Strong problem solving skills, influencing skills and partnership management skills, good communication skills, understanding of back office operations.   Dimensions: List any financial dimensions, statistics and numbers that describe the magnitude and impact of the position.  Reporting Relationship (Job Titles Only):  This position reports to: AVP - Process Excellence and USIS back office.   Direct Reports: Associate Managers.
