Candidate Profile - Principal / EM SCM & Logistics

- Graduate or Engineer + MBA from a premier institution with a strong academic background.

- Premier institutes would include IIM A, IIM B, IIM C, IIM L, IIM I, XLRI, FMS, NITIE (only PGDIM course), SPJain or JBIMS. Candidates must have a good academic track record.

Experience

- Between 9-10 years of post MBA experience. (Passed out between 2007 and 2008). Most of the experience should have been in Supply Chain and Operations functions and roles

- Previous experience should be in:

- Supply Chain, Logistics & Operations Consulting, having worked on Supply Chain optimization, BPR & BPI, Business Excellence, Performance improvement and cost reduction projects

- Experience in managing teams would be preferred (Supervisory experience must)

- Exposure and experience in Consumer, Automotive and similar sectors having multi-tier distribution & channels would be an advantage

- Understanding of distribution, networks, warehouse operations, transportation, S&OP etc would be beneficial

- Exposure to execution of large consulting projects could be an added advantage

Required Skills

- Structured thinking ability

- Expert domain know-how required covering Supply Chain, logistics and operations and the issues & challenges relating to it

- Capabilities in development of customers, offerings & products

- Basic knowledge of finance concepts is desirable in all candidates

Role:

- The candidate would be required to play an important role in expanding the Supply Chain & Operation Improvement Practice.

- The incumbent would be required to lead projects and lead new business development activities

- Be responsible for the revenues for his/her practice and develop expertise in the offering areas.

- Their role would also entail managing client relations, managing team and giving overall guidance & direction to their team.

- The candidate must be responsible for publishing articles and thought notes to position the company as a thought leader in the domain.

- He/She would be required to provide fresh insights / know-how etc. in the specified sector

- The candidate would be required to work across geographies.

- Candidate must be willing to travel.

- The position would be based out of Mumbai.
