Principal Data Miner/Statistician/SAS or R Miner/Data Analytics

Job Responsibilities:

- 14 Years of experience in advanced analytics, on hands experience in predictive modeling

- 10 to 12 years of hands on experience on R or SAS

- Experience in Segmentation, Logistic Regression, Time Series forecasting, Decision Tree, Chaid, Cart etc

- Ability to mine unstructured data, including Text Mining using statistical tools

- Ability to integrate unstructured data analytics with structured data to build predictive models

- Ability to understand and analyze data models how the data is stored in relational databases

- Ability to understand system integration aspects of integrating model input and output in transactional systems to help real time decision making

- Good understanding software application architecture and develop integration approaches for predictive models

- Serves as an escalation point for escalated statistical model related issues.

- Establishes best practices and guidelines for usage of the SAS / R platform.

- Experience in Telecom domain will be added advantage

- Should have led at least 5 members analytics team on different projects

- Should be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously

- People management responsibility

Technical Knowledge and Skills required:

- SAS certified

- Strong knowledge on SAS, R and SPSS

- Text mining skills

- Hands on SQL/ Oracle queries

- Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel and Power point

Soft Skills Required:

- Articulate with good communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to mentor Jr. Statisticians / Data Miners

- Highly driven, energetic, flexible, resourceful &ability to multitask.

- Adherence to timelines, without sacrificing quality of output.

- Hands on and detail oriented, with a strong ability to co-ordinate across different Geographies.

- Willing to travel; both short and long term.

Academics : M.Sc. in Statistics/ Econometrics
